Final Fantasy XVI is the cover story of Game Informer Issue 356, the publication announced.
“We traveled to Japan and spoke with several of the leads within developer Creative Business Unit III of Square Enix to talk about combat, story, art, lore, and so much more, and we played hours of the game we can’t wait to tell you about,” reads the announcement.
The magazine itself will be available in two editions.
The first edition features protagonist Clive Rosfield with the Eikon Ifrit behind him on the cover, and Clive’s brother Joshua with the Eikon Phoenix behind him on the back.
The second edition features Joshua on the cover and Clive on the back.
In addition to its Final Fantasy XVI cover story, Game Informer Issue 356 will also feature a look at Immortals of Aveum, Red Candle Games‘ journey through horror success after Devotion, and previews of XDefiant, Disney Illusion Island, Street Fighter 6, Lies of P, and more.
Final Fantasy XVI is due out for PlayStation 5 on June 22.
